Q. Why did you join Animal Eye Clinic?
Celina: I’ve been in working general practice for the past 8 years and while I’ve learned so much, I felt there was room to grow. Going into specialty was the next move for me and that brought me to AEC. Since being here I have gained so much knowledge on eyes, and it’s brought back my excitement for veterinary medicine.
Q. Describe why pets are important to you/how have pets changed or influenced you?
Celina: Animals have always been a passion I’ve had since I was young, and I knew I needed to do something in the animal field for a career. I have a deep empathy and love for every pet because I want the best for them. Animals can’t advocate for themselves so it’s very important to be their voice and help them anyway I can.
Q. What are you passionate about?
Celina: I’m passionate about client education and being an advocate for animals’ wellbeing. It’s important to me that owners get the best possible experience with me, and they can leave fully educated on anything they ask or may not know. Something I was told a long time ago from one of the first veterinarian I worked with “They should leave looking/feeling better than they came in” and I strive to achieve that with every single patient I see.
Q. What is your education/where did you go to school?
Celina: I graduated from Harrison College in 2018 where I obtained a degree in applied sciences for veterinary technology, continued by passing the state board exam, earning my title of registered veterinary nurse.
Q. What do you enjoy doing?
Celina: I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, going to concerts, and being outdoors.
Q. What are three things on your bucket list?
Celina: Three things on my bucket list are: see Coldplay front row, cage dive with great whites and go to a premier league soccer game.
